in loving memory of our little angel kip

feb. 06, 2006 to july 31, 2009
rest in peace.....
missing you always.........

This is our baby Kippy. My nephew was named Kip Daniel Anderson by his parents. He was born on February 6, 2006 and unfortunately he was also born with a heart disease. The doctor already told my sister about this abnormality when she was still pregnant and she was advised to have an abortion but she didn’t because she loves her son so much. When he was born, my sister was asked by the doctor if she wants to take the baby home and wait for him to die at home or she wants the baby to undergo an operation which is also risky. With the help of her best friend, she gave Kippy a chance to live and opted for an operation.

Kippy was so brave and survived the operation. We were so happy that moment because all our prayers were answered. Kippy and his mom visited our house every Sunday and we would eat out during special occasions. We would also take him to the mall and let him play even though he would easily get tired. He would always say “I’m tired, go home”. He was fund of watching cartoons like Dora d explorer, Barney, Sponge Bob, Thomas and Friends, and many others. He actually learned how to speak and how to sing and danced from those series. He also loved his pets. He tried having a dog, chicken, rabbits and hamsters. He really tried to be normal despite his disease even though he would sometimes be admitted to the hospital but he didn’t really gave trouble to anyone of us. We got Kippy spoiled with everything he wanted but he remained sweet to all of us. He would say Araboo tits, Araboo mom, which means I love you tita, I love you mom. His mom really loved him very much and also became his dad because his dad is abroad. His dad would only see once a year. He was our only baby and nephew.

We always celebrated his birthday until he was three years old. We didn’t know it was going to be his last birthday with us. They went to a hospital in Manila for his second operation. He was examined by the doctors. He was so witty to his doctors and would say, “Peace, don’t hurt me” but he would also say “I want to be a dragon to escape my doctor”. I wish he was not put into this situation but as they say, God has reasons for this. He had a “Cardiac Cut” to check the flow of blood then a day after, he was taken to the operating room and the doctors had a conference about him. Unfortunately, the doctors didn’t perform the operation because he would not be at a high risk. His heart was already much damaged. We were so disappointed. They would say, “Prayer is the only thing that could save him”. We were so sad when we saw him so weak and blue. He became more tired. He was not as witty as before and as strong as before. We prayed for him but our prayers were not enough.

One fine morning, he woke up and ate his breakfast. He got choked and puked but he became fine for a while. He still managed to play and watched TV. He was given a bath by his helper but he had difficulty in breathing. His mom immediately prepared the car and called our uncle for help. She got panicked and drove crookedly and got into traffic. Our uncle helped her. He took Kip from the car and drove him by a motorcycle to the hospital. He drove very fast but Kippy didn’t make it. He died. We got so hurt specially his mom. She could not accept what just happened. We already knew Kippy would not live long but we didn’t expect that it was this SOON.
